Rocky Escajadillo scored a run in the Bucs' 12-2 loss at No. 12 North Alabama Tuesday.
FLORENCE, Ala.—No. 12 North Alabama scored the first six runs and the last six runs as they rolled to a 12-2 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs in a non-conference game Tuesday afternoon.

The Lions (14-4) struck first in the second inning as Will Campbell singled, stole second, and scored on a Dewayne Gunn single.  The Lions tacked on three an inning later as they capitalized on a walk, three singles, and a double.  A two-run Collin Murphy single pushed the lead out to 6-0.

The Bucs (4-8) answered with a run in the fifth and one in the seventh, with Rocky Escajadillo (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) scoring on a Matt Stephany (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) single in the fifth and David Clayton (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) driving in Matt Trouy (Millington, Tenn./Millington HS) with a seventh-inning single.

Nine straight Lions reached to start the seventh, ending the game after the sixth run scored on a Qualon Millender single.  The Lions had a hit batter, six singles, and two doubles in the inning.

Stephany went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the only Buc to post a multi-hit game, while Clayton, Alan Wright (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS), and Cody Dunn (Bartlett, Tenn./Tipton-Rosemark Academy) each singled.

The Bucs will return to the field Sunday at noon as they host Principia in a non-conference doubleheader.
