MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Bucs scored in six of seven innings as they rolled to a 17-2 win over LeMoyne-Owen Wednesday afternoon at Buc Field.

Playing as the visiting team despite being on their home field, the Bucs (7-12) scored twice in the first and three times in the second inning.  After a scoreless third, they blew it open with a six-run fourth inning to take an 11-0 lead.

The Bucs scored a run in the fifth, two in the sixth, and three in the seventh before the Magicians scored two in the bottom of the seventh to set the final margin at 17-2.

Joseph Kaminski (Sherwood, Ark./Little Rock Catholic HS) led the Bucs' 19-hit attack, going 3-for-3 with three runs.  Alfredo Arroyo (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison HS), Will Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School), Alan Wright (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS), and Will Britt (Oxford, Miss./Oxford HS) collected two each.

Cary Crain (Millington, Tenn./Millington HS) earned the win, striking out eight as he walked one in three hitless innings.  Matt Lewis (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) struck out six as he blanked the Magicians for three innings on two hits and a walk.

The Bucs return to the field Thursday afternoon as they host Illinois Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
