HENDERSON, Tenn.—Host Freed-Hardeman blasted 17 hits as they picked up a 15-3 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs in the final non-conference game of the year for CBU.
The Lions (28-13) used three singles and a sacrifice fly in the second inning to score twice, and they expanded their lead to 5-0 in the third inning on a three-run Brian Bullard homer. They tacked on five in the fourth inning and again in the sixth to take a 15-0 lead, with their final runs coming on a Willy Hernandez grand slam.
The Bucs (10-32) scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Josh SHelton (Rosemark, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) hit a two-out double and scored on an
Alan Wright (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) single, and
Joseph Kaminski (Sherwood, Ark./Little Rock Catholic HS) set the final margin with a two-run homer, his eighth of the year.
The Bucs close out the season this weekend as they visit Ouachita Baptist for a GSC West series.
