MCKENZIE, Tenn.—Host Bethel scored five runs in the second inning and never looked back as they cruised to a 10-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats (8-0-1) cashed in two singles, four walks, an error, and a hit batter as they scored five times in the second inning. They tacked on a run in the third and fifth innings before ending the game with three runs on a single and three straight doubles in the seventh.
Joseph Kaminski (Sherwood, Ark./Little Rock Catholic HS) and
Yogi Vanaman (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) collected two hits each for the Bucs (4-10).
The Bucs face Bethel again Saturday, this time in a 2 p.m. home game.
