SEARCY, Ark.—Host Harding scored 29 runs on 31 hits as they cruised to a 13-3, 16-4 sweep of a Gulf South Conference West Division doubleheader against the Christian Brothers University Bucs Friday afternoon.
The Bucs (4-29, 0-10 GSC West) opened the scoring quickly as

Yogi Vanaman (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) single to put the Bucs in front 1-0.
Harding (19-17, 5-5) would answer fast and furious, scoring in all six innings of game one and, including game two, 10 straight innings. The Bisons scored once in each of the first two innings, then they extended their lead with three in the third, four in the fourth, and two in the fifth and sixth.
Arroyo scored again for the Bucs in the fifth inning as he singled and scored on a double play. Vanaman set the final margin in the seventh as he doubled home
Aaron Short (Cleveland, Tenn./Cleveland HS), who had started the rally with a two-out double.
Arroyo finished 3-for-4 with two runs to lead the Bucs' nine-hit offense in game one. Vanaman was 2-for-3 with two RBI, while
Joseph Kaminski (Sherwood, Ark./Little Rock Catholic HS) also went 2-for-3.
Arroyo hit another leadoff double and scored to put the Bucs in front to start game two. After Harding scored twice in the bottom of the first,
Chance Ruggeroli (Las Vegas, Nev./Shadow Ridge HS) blasted a two-out solo homer to right to tie the game at two in the second inning.
Harding scored six in the bottom of the second and put the game out of reach with four in the third and fourth innings.
The Bucs set the final margin with a pair of seventh-inning runs.
David Croenne (Millington, Tenn./Millington HS) led off with a single, and
Josh Shelton (Rosemark, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) followed with a walk. Croenne scored on a wild pitch, while
Matt Van Slyke (Oxford, Miss./Oxford HS) singled Shelton home.
