Alfredo Arroyo (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison HS) doubled and scored on a
Yogi Vanaman (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) single. They tacked on four more in the sixth, capped by a two-run double from Wilson. Two more runs in the seventh gave them a 12-3 lead, and the Bucs ended the game early in the eighth inning as Arroyo doubled and scored on another Vanaman single.
Alex Sikes (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) earned the win, scattering two earned runs on six hits in seven innings with nine strikeouts.

The Owls tacked on an unearned run in the fifth, but the Bucs answered with one of their own in the bottom of the inning when Wilson singled Franklin home. They tied the game at four in the sixth when Wright doubled Hardin home with one out, but WWU's Alex Cann put the fire out with two strikeouts to end the threat, setting up the decisive seventh inning.
