NEW ALBANY, Miss.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to rally for a 4-3 win over host Blue Mountain Tuesday afternoon.
The Toppers (4-4) built a three-run lead early in the game, scoring twice in the second inning as they followed a two-out error with a pair of RBI singles. They tacked on another run in the third with a pair of singles.
The Bucs (6-2) only put three runners on base in the first five innings, but they finally solved Blue Mountain pitching in the sixth inning.

Alfredo Arroyo (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison HS) RBI single put them on the board.
In the eighth, Franklin again set the stage with a leadoff single, and a
Brent Goode (Jackson, Tenn./North Side HS) single put two on with none out. Arroyo reached on an error to load the bases, and a
Lans Hardin (Keystone Heights, Fla./Keystone Heights HS) double scored two to tie the game.
Alan Wright (Olive Branch, Miss./DeSoto Central HS) followed with a sacrifice fly to score what proved to be the winning run.
Jake Garbuzinski (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS), two days after collecting his first career save, went seven and a third innings to earn his first victory. He allowed three runs, one earned, on six hits with no walks.
Aaron Short (Cleveland, Tenn./Cleveland HS) picked up his third save with a scoreless inning and two thirds out of the bullpen.
