Bucs Shut Out Lindenwood 1-0

Michael Hollier (17) scored a 69-th-minute goal to lift the Bucs to a 1-0 win over Lindenwood Friday night.
Box Score MEMPHIS—After missing the previous four games due to an injury, sophomore midfielder Michael Hollier (Lafayette, La., Teurlings HS) scored a 69th-minute goal to lift the Christian Brothers University Bucs to a 1-0 win over Lindenwood Friday night at Signaigo Field.

Just after the Lions (2-6) had been stymied on a pair of shots in the 68th minute, the Bucs fed the ball ahead to Tony Aloia (Hallsville, Texas/Hallsville HS) in the corner.  Aloia found Hollier in the box with his cross, and Hollier fired a shot past Lindenwood keeper Franc Reolid Sanz.

Jaime Garcia (San Salvador, El Salvador/Lincoln School) made four saves to record his second straight shutout and his third of the season for the Bucs.

The Bucs welcome another team in the process of joining NCAA Division II, Young Harris (Ga.), Sunday at noon at Signaigo Field.
