Box Score NEW ALBANY, Miss.—Host Blue Mountain used a five-run fifth inning to pull away to a 10-5 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Tuesday afternoon.

The Toppers (17-12) struck first in the bottom of the first inning, when they scored twice on two doubles and a single.  The Bucs (7-21) cut the lead in half with one run in the second when Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) doubled and scored on a Seth Cline (Cottontown, Tenn./Portland HS) sacrifice fly, and Cody Warren (Orlando, Fla./Orangewood Christian HS) tied the game in the third when he drew a leadoff walk and came home on a Josh Hopkins (Olive Branch, Miss./Southern Baptist Educational Center) single.

The Toppers added two more in the fourth inning on a triple and two singles, but the Bucs tied the game back up at four in the top of the fifth.  Jimmy Franklin (Knoxville, Tenn./Powell HS) singled, and a walk and a hit batter loaded the bases for Mac Cooley (Bartlett, Tenn./Horn Lake HS), who hit a two-run single through the left side.  The Toppers took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning, plating five runs on two walks, a hit batter, two singles, and a double.  After BMC scored again in the seventh on a double and an error, the Bucs set the final margin in the top of the eighth when Franklin doubled and scored on a Hunter Parham (Southaven, Miss./Southaven HS) single.

Franklin went 2-for-3 with two runs in the game, and Cooley drove in two runs.

The Bucs return to action this weekend with a four-game series against New Orleans.  Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon, with Sunday's twinbill set for 1 p.m.  Sunday's second game will be a non-conference game.
