Braden Keathley went 3-for-5 with two RBI, but North Alabama swept the Bucs Saturday.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FLORENCE, Ala.—Host North Alabama swept a Saturday afternoon doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Bucs, winning the opener 16-2 and claiming a 7-3 win in the second game.

In game one, the Lions (30-11, 10-7 GSC) broke up a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning, scoring the game's first run on an error, a sacrifice bunt, and a single.  They tacked on four more in the fourth on a walk, a hit batter, a double, an error, and a single.

The Bucs (10-26, 3-14) shaved a run off the lead in the top of the fifth when Cody Warren (Orlando, Fla./Orangewood Christian HS) blasted his first homer in a CBU uniform, but the Lions put it out of reach in the bottom of the frame with eight runs on six hits, three walks, and an error to extend their lead to 13-1.  The Bucs' second run came in the sixth inning, when Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) walked and scored on a Charles Kelly (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) single.

UNA tacked on three more in the bottom of the sixth to set the final margin.

Six different Bucs collected one hit in the game.

In game two, the Bucs took an early lead with two out in the top of the first on back-to-back doubles from Josh Hopkins (Olive Branch, Miss./Southern Baptist Educational Center) and Keathley.  They doubled their lead in the third when Warren walked and scored on an error after a Hopkins single, but the Lions answered with a run on two singles and a walk in the bottom of the inning.  They took the lead in the fourth with two runs on a hit batter, a walk, and two errors.

The Bucs tied the game back up at three in the top of the fifth, when Warren doubled and scored on a Keathley single, but the Lions plated three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good.  They added an insurance tally in the sixth to set the final margin.

Keathley and Hopkins went 2-for-3, with Keathley driving in two runs, and Warren scored twice in the game.

The Bucs and Lions meet again Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. for the final game of the series.  The Bucs' next home game is set for Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. against Rhodes.
