Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEMPHIS-Visiting Drury swept a Saturday doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Bucs, winning the first game 9-2 before claiming the second game 7-1.

In the opener, the Bucs (2-4) struck first as Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) led off the second inning with a single and came home on a Will Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) double to left.  The Panthers (2-0) knotted the game with a run in the third, and they took the lead for good with four runs on two walks, a single, and two doubles in the fourth inning.  Keathley scored again for the Bucs in the sixth inning, reaching on a two-out single and scoring after back-to-back singles by Stephen Joe (Madison, Miss./Ridgeland HS) and Josh Hopkins (Olive Branch, Miss./Southern Baptist Educational Center).

The Panthers tacked on three more in the eighth and one in the ninth to set the final margin.  Hopkins went 3-for-4 in the game for the Bucs, while Joe and Keathley collected two hits each.  Keathley scored twice.

In the second game, the Bucs again drew first blood, when Jarrett Jenkins (Ridgeland, Miss./Ridgeland HS) led off with a single.  After moving to second on a sacrifice bunt, he scored on a Mac Cooley (Bartlett, Tenn./Horn Lake HS) single.  From there, the Bucs threatened often but failed to score, stranding 10 baserunners.

The Panthers scored their fist run on a bases-loaded walk in the second, and three straight one-out hits in the third inning put them ahead for good.  A three-run sixth and a two-run seventh set the final margin at 7-1.

Jenkins went 3-for-4 in the game for the Bucs, and Hopkins went 2-for-2.

The Bucs and Panthers play again tomorrow afternoon at noon to complete the weekend series.
