Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala.-Host West Alabama scored in each of the first four innings on their way to a 12-1 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers (15-15, 9-3 GSC) struck first in a big way in the bottom of the first inning. The first six batters collected hits, leading to five runs as they sent 10 batters to the plate in the inning. They tacked on another run in the second, four more in the third, and two in the fourth to take a 12-0 lead.
The Bucs (6-21, 0-12) scored what would be their only run of the day in the top of the fifth inning.
Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) hit a double to left, the Bucs' first hit of the day, and he scored on a two-out single by
Will Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School).
The Bucs return to action Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. when they visit Williams Baptist. Their next home game is set for Saturday, April 6, as they host a noon doubleheader against Valdosta State.
