Box Score MEMPHIS–Visiting North Alabama edged the Christian Brothers University Bucs 5-4 Sunday afternoon to spoil CBU's Senior Day.

The Lions (25-18-1, 15-9 GSC) never trailed, taking a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning on two singles, a wild pitch, a passed ball, and a pair of productive outs. The Lions used a single, a stolen base, a sacrifice bunt, and a sacrifice fly to scratch across another run in the second to take a 2-0 lead.

The Bucs (9-32, 1-22) began their comeback with two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Three straight singles by Charles Armour (Brighton, Tenn./Brighton HS), Tyler Burnett (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS), and Jarrett Jenkins (Ridgeland, Miss./Ridgeland HS) loaded the bases with none out. After a force play at home, Charles Kelly (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) doubled down the right field line to bring in two runs and cut the deficit to 3-2.

UNA tacked on a run in the top of the fourth on a two-out error, but the Bucs answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning as Will Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) singled, moved to third on two groundouts, and scored on a wild pitch.

The Bucs tied it in the fifth inning. Jarrett Jenkins (Ridgeland, Miss./Ridgeland HS) led off with a double to left. He moved to third on a Tanner Sandel (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) sacrifice bunt and scored on a groundout by Kelly. The Lions scored the winning run in the second inning on two singles and a passed ball.

Jenkins went 3-for-4 in the game with two runs, and Kelly went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Alex Sikes (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) went the distance, allowing three earned runs as he scattered 12 hits and four walks.

CBU honored its three seniors, Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS), Sikes, and Wilson, in pregame Senior Day ceremonies.

The Bucs finish the regular season with four games on the road, beginning Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. when they visit Bethel.
