Box Score MCKENZIE, Tenn.–Host Bethel used three big innings to claim a 14-4 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Tuesday afternoon in the Bucs' final non-conference game of the season.

The Bucs (9-33) scored first, bringing in two runs in the top of the third inning. Cale Alexander (Bartlett, Tenn./Tipton-Rosemark Academy) and Jarrett Jenkins (Ridgeland, Miss./Ridgeland HS) drew back-to-back walks with one out. A Ryan Knott (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) single and an error brought a run in and sent Jenkins to third, allowing him to score on a Charles Kelly (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) sacrifice fly.

The Wildcats (26-13) took the lead for good with a three-run fourth, and they added three more in the fifth. After Bethel scored again in the seventh to extend their lead to 7-2, the Bucs rallied in the top of the eighth. Kelly singled to start the inning but was out when Jordan Wilson (Arlington, Tenn./Tipton-Rosemark Academy) grounded into a force play. Will Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) worked a walk. Mac Cooley (Bartlett, Tenn./Horn Lake HS) singled Jordan Wilson home, and Will Wilson scored on a throwing error to bring the Bucs within a 7-4 margin.

The Wildcats ended the game in the bottom of the inning, however, scoring seven runs on a walk, five singles, two hit batters, and a double.

Knott, Kelly, and Josh Ambuehl (Las Vegas, Nev./Arlington HS) collected two hits each for the Bucs. Patrick Gurley (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic HS) tossed two scoreless innings in the start. Braden Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) tossed a scoreless inning of relief, and Drew Tatum (Southaven, Miss./Southaven HS) went an inning and two thirds out of the bullpen with no runs allowed.

The bucs wrap up the regular season this weekend at Union. Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon, with Sunday's single game set for 2 p.m.
