BIRMINGHAM - The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team had
Luke Gdowski and
Garrett Golday highlighted on the 2020-21 Gulf South Conference Top Newcomers list, and the Bucs were picked to finish sixth in the West Division.
Gdowski, a freshman from Nashville, earned First Team All-Region honors at Father Ryan High School. Golday transfered from Tennessee Tech where he played in all 31 games as a freshman, making four starts. The Arlington HS product averaged three points and one rebound as a sophomore. Golday finished his senior season at Arlington averaging 21 points, 11 boards and five blocks per game, while earning All-Metro honors.
The Bucs are scheduled to open their season on Friday Dec. 11, when they host Union. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
