BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its Women's Cross Country All-Decade Awards on Thursday, and Christian Brothers University saw
Hannah Owen named Second Team All-Decade.
Owen (2014-17) is a three-time All-GSC performer, earning second team honors as a freshman and first team honors during her junior and senior seasons. The Rogers, Ark., native finished seventh in 2016 and eighth the following season. Owen also earned All-Region honors, as she claimed a 17th place finish as a junior and capped off her career crossing the finish line in 10th place at the 2017 South Region Championships.
"This is a great, and well deserved honor for Hannah," said Cross Country Head Coach
Bill Hoffman. "She worked hard, which helping her develop into a great runner and student while at CBU."
Owen finished her career with seven career top-10 finishes, and did not finish outside of the top 25 in her final eight races.
