BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Christian Brothers University cross country runner
Johanna Wistokat has been named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week, as announced on Tuesday.
Wistokat earned the honor after a runner-up finish in the Prairie Fire 5K at the Chile Pepper Festival (University of Arkansas). The Wennigsen, Germany native crossed the finish line with a school record time of 18:03.3.
Wistokat has turned in personal bests in all three of her races this season. She is the first CBU women's cross country team member to earn Runner of the Week honors since Hannah Owen captured the award in 2017.
CBU is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Oct. 9, when they travel to Huntsville, Ala., for the UAH Invitational.
