BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After becoming the first women's athlete in history to win four individual titles at the Gulf South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Chelsea Walker has been named Gulf South Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Year. 

The York, England native won conference titles in the 100 hurdles (13.92w), 100 meters (11.77), 400 hurdles (1:00.21) and the 200 meters (24.29).

The award was voted on by the leagues coaches. 

Walker also earned GSC Women's Track Performer of the Meet honors at both the indoor and outdoor championship meets. 

The participants for the 2021 NCAA Track and Field Championships are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, May 18. The meet is scheduled to take place from May 27-29 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Mich.
