NEW ORLEANS - Following a strong finish at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic, the Christian Brothers University men's cross country team has been ranked No. 9 in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Regional Rankings, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA), on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bucs finished 10th at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic, topping Gulf South Conference foes Auburn Montgomery, Union and West Florida and also finished four positions better than Southeastern Conference opponent Mississippi State.
CBU joins six other GSC squads in the poll.
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Sept., 18 when they participate in the Rhodes College Invitational at Shelby Farms Park.
