BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Gulf South Conference has announced its 2021-22 Winter All-Academic Teams and Honor Roll, and Christian Brothers University had four student-athletes named Academic All-Conference and 41 named to the Academic Honor Roll.

Student-athletes who competed in winter sports were eligible for awards. 

Daniel Loos represented the CBU men's basketball team, while Johanna Wistokat, Nathan Grolleau and Juan Jose De La Rosa represented the CBU indoor track and field teams. 

Loos earned his first career honor after leading the Bucs with 12.8 points per game, and finishing second on the team with 5.1 rebounds per contest. The Clarksville, Tenn., native has a 3.78 GPA in Business Administration. Loos is the first CBU men's basketball student-athlete to be named to the five person GSC All-Academic Team since Cody Garbuzinski in 2017-18. 
 
Wistokat earns her third career honor after also being named to the 2019 GSC Cross Country All-Academic team and the 2021 Women's Track and Field All-Academic team. The Wennigsen, Germany native finished second in the 5,000 meters and ninth in the 3,000 at the 2022 GSC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Wistokat has a 4.0 GPA in Business Administration. 
  
Grolleau, who has a 3.61 cumulative GPA in the MBA program, finished in seventh place in the 60 meters at the 2022 GSC Indoor Track and Field Championships, while helping the Bucs earn a podium finish (third place) in the 4x400 relay. 
 
De La Rosa earned his first career All-Academic nod after earning multiple top-five finishes during the indoor season, including a fifth place finish in the 800 meters at the GSC Championships. De La Rosa was also a member of the 4x400 relay team. The Tenerife, Spain native has a 3.65 GPA in Health Science. 
 
GSC All-Academic honorees must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have made significant contributions to their respective teams during the 2021-22 campaign.
