MEMPHIS — Christian Brothers University Athletics recorded its 12th consecutive academic semester with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of over 3.0, as nearly 300 student-athletes recorded a 3.15 GPA for the 2022 spring term.
In total, nine of 14 teams finished with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
"Our student-athletes have worked extremely hard to continue our academic success," Director of Athletics
Donna Crone said. "I would like to thank our student-athletes, coaches and especially our Director of Student-Athlete Success,
Tee Neely, for dedicating the time and effort to achieve such high marks."
The men's golf team contributed the highest GPA of all men's teams with a 3.42, while women's soccer led the department with a 3.4. Four women's teams (soccer, women's basketball, golf, softball) wrapped up the spring semester with at least a 3.3 GPA.
CBU saw 41 student-athletes record a 4.0 GPA, and had 24 student-athletes receive degrees, this spring.
