Box Score MEMPHIS, TN. — The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team showed solid on Sunday afternoon but couldn't overcome a strong second-half push from Alabama Huntsville, falling 2–0 at Signaigo Field.
The Lady Buccaneers went toe-to-toe with the Chargers through a scoreless first half, matching intensity and defensive structure. Goalkeeper Kaylee Allen anchored the CBU back line with six saves, including several key stops that kept the game level heading into halftime.
UAH finally broke through in the 66th minute when Carley White found the back of the net off an assist from Jayla Gillespie. Just eight minutes later, White struck again, this time finishing a setup from Katey Ann Klingel, to give the Chargers the 2–0 cushion.
Despite the deficit, the Lady Bucs continued to push forward, generating seven total shots and a pair of corners. Ana Dutra and Chloe May each tested the defense with multiple attempts, while CBU's young midfield worked to create late pressure.
On the defensive end, Julia Brandão, Lara Sanchez, and Mack Campbell were active in containing UAH's attack, with Campbell also earning a yellow card for a hard challenge that halted a dangerous counter.
The loss moves CBU to 1–8–1 overall and 0–6 in conference play, but the Lady Buccaneers continue to show development and fight in every outing. They'll look to bounce back next weekend as conference play continues.
