Box Score Mobile, Ala. — Christian Brothers University men's soccer continued its strong conference form Friday afternoon, defeating Spring Hill 2–0 at Library Field.
After a scoreless first half highlighted by steady goalkeeping from Sebastian Torka, the Buccaneers broke through in the 56th minute when Matthias Ran De Berg calmly converted a penalty kick to give CBU a 1–0 advantage.
The Bucs continued to control possession and apply pressure throughout the second half, and their persistence paid off in the 86th minute. Alexander Blanche doubled the lead, finishing off a setup from AJ Agbede to seal the victory.
CBU's back line, anchored by Ran De Berg and captain Elliot Whalley, kept the Badgers in check all game. Torka recorded three saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season.
The Buccaneers outshot Spring Hill 16–7 and finished with nine shots on goal compared to the Badgers' three. Blanche led CBU with four shots, while Olaf Kramer, Joe Vokins, and Olivier van der Tuin each added key offensive pressure.
With the win, Christian Brothers improved to 8-2-1 overall and 5-0-1 in Gulf South Conference play, remaining unbeaten in league action.
CBU returns home next week to host a crucial conference matchup as they look to continue their strong run toward postseason contention.
