Box Score 3 Christian Brothers lost three games over the weekend in Nashville in a Gulf South Conference matchup with Trevecca Nazarene. The Trojans defeated the Bucs twice on Friday and once on Saturday. The losses drop CBU's overall record to 13-20 overall and 4-17 in conference play.
GAME 1
After falling behind 4-0 through the first two innings, CBU rallied to take a 5-4 lead in the third. However, they were shut down for the remainder of the game and Trevecca Nazarene added six more runs to claim the 10-5 victory.
Nick Petruzzello led CBU with two hits including his second homer of the year.
GAME 2
CBU fell 6-3 in the second game of Friday's doubleheader. After the Bucs tied it at 2-2 in the second inning, the Trojans outscored CBU 4-1 over the remainder of the game to claim the win.
Jackson Licata and
Seth Brown had two hits apiece for the Bucs with Licata driving in two of CBU's three runs.
GAME 3
CBU fell behind in the first inning and couldn't recover as Trevecca Nazarene won the series finale, 12-0. The Bucs were limited to just three hits in the game.
Seth Brown, Jalen Smith and
Tate Gentleman got the hits for the Bucs.
Xavier Caldwell pitched a scoreless eighth inning to shut down the Trojans.
