Box Score MEMPHIS, TN. – The Christian Brothers Lady Buccaneers showed grit and determination on their home turf Friday evening, creating multiple scoring chances in a tough 5–0 contest against Mississippi College at Signaigo Field.
The Lady Bucs generated eight total shots, including seven in the second half as they pushed forward to find the net. Freshman Mackenzie Allen led the attack with two shots, putting one on target, while Karis Klindtworth and Cristal Tellez also tested the Choctaws' back line with shots on frame.
Defensively, Kaylee Allen stood tall in goal, making two second-half saves and commanding the box against a high-volume Mississippi offense that tallied 17 attempts. Veterans Savanna Mondesir-Singh and Mack Campbell anchored the back line, each logging a full 90 minutes and helping to limit dangerous chances in the first half, when CBU kept the game within striking distance.
Several young Buccaneers stepped into key minutes as well, with Giulia Ticozelli and Chloe May holding firm in defense, while attackers like Addie Hurt and Alexa Franklin provided fresh legs in the forward line to keep pressure on the Choctaw defense.
Despite the score line, the Lady Bucs showed improvement in possession and offensive creativity, outshooting Mississippi 7–6 in the second half and winning the late stretch of the match in terms of pressure.
The match also saw the Bucs continue to play with discipline, committing just seven fouls compared to nine by Mississippi, and holding the visitors to just one first-half corner.
The loss drops CBU to 1-4-1 overall, 0-2-0 in GSC play, but the Lady Buccaneers return to action with renewed confidence as they continue conference play.
