CLEVELAND, Miss.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs evened their Gulf South Conference record Wednesday afternoon as they won 2-0 at Delta State.
The Bucs (4-5-1, 1-1-0 GSC) struck first in the 27th minute as
Zach Tubinis (Memphis, Tenn./Houston HS) scored the only goal the Bucs would need.
Andrew Ballard (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) scored his first CBU goal in the 37th minute to provide the final score.
The CBU defense turned in one of its best performances of the year, holding DSU (7-4-1, 0-1-0) to just six shots, including one on goal, which
Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) saved as he picked up his third shutout of the year.
The Bucs come home Sunday night at 7 p.m. to face Lambuth.
