Box Score MEMPHIS-Senior forward Matt Derise (Lafayette, La., St. Thomas More HS) scored two goals five minutes apart late in the first half to lift the Christian Brothers University Bucs to a 2-0 win over Union Friday night at Signaigo Field.

The Bucs (6-5-0, 4-4-0 GSC) struck first in the 37th minute as Paul Banks (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) found Derise with a cross for the game's first goal. Banks fed Derise again in the 42nd minute to give the Bucs a 2-0 cushion they would not relinquish.

The Bucs out-shot Union (3-5-1, 1-5-1) 19-7 for the game, including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.

The Bucs hit the road Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Their next home game is next Friday night at 7:30 p.m. against Lee.
