INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team is ranked fifth in the first edition of the NCAA Division II South Regional Rankings. The poll, which was released on Wednesday, Oct. 27, is used to determine which of the region's six teams will qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
The rankings include matches that have been played through Oct. 24. The South Region will be made up of teams from the Gulf South and Sunshine State Conference.
The Lady Bucs (8-6-2, 6-4-2 GSC) come in behind Gulf South Conference rivals Lee and Mississippi College, along with Sunshine State Conference foes Embry Riddle and Palm Beach Atlantic.
The Lady Bucs are also ranked No. 8 in the latest United Soccer Coaches South Region poll.
CBU is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, November 4, when it hosts in-state rival Union to wrap up the regular season. Kickoff is set for 5 PM.
