Memhis, TN- Christian Brothers women's soccer went toe-to-toe with Harding on Wednesday evening at the Stevens Soccer Complex, earning a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought match.
Junior Addie Hurt gave the Lady Bucs the early momentum, striking in the 38th minute off an assist from Elisa Cruz. Hurt's shot to the bottom right corner capped off a strong first half in which CBU created several dangerous chances and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Harding responded late, finding the equalizer in the 84th minute through Whitney Thomas, assisted by Katie Jones. Despite the setback, CBU continued pressing until the final whistle, nearly reclaiming the lead with late efforts from Chloe May, who finished with a team-high three shots on goal.
In net, Kaylee Allen was steady, collecting five saves across 90 minutes to keep the Bisons in check. Overall, the Lady Bucs outshot Harding 13-13 but produced more on target (7-6).
With the draw, Christian Brothers moves to 0-2-1 on the season, showing signs of growth as they prepare for their upcoming matches.
