MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University soccer team is set to kick off Gulf South Conference action this Sunday, September 21st, as the Buccaneers host Union University on campus. With the intensity of non-conference play now behind them, the Bucs are eager to carry their momentum into the league schedule.
Head Coach Enda Crehan shared the energy surrounding the start of conference play:
"Conference play is always an exciting time, and it's the coming together of all the preseason and non-conference hard work. It's especially nice to open GSC play on campus at home," Crehan said.
The Bucs enter this stretch of the season focused on growth and unity, with the coaching staff highlighting how the team continues to develop collectively.
"No one player has impressed me per se," the coach noted. "They are growing as a group and getting better each and every day."
Sunday's matchup against Union marks an important first step in the Gulf South Conference journey. With the energy of the home crowd behind them and the lessons learned from the early part of the season, the Buccaneers are ready to rise to the challenge.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm, and fans are encouraged to pack the stands to cheer on the Bucs as they chase a strong start to conference play.
