Jeff Sanders starred on the basketball court from 1976 to 1980. He scored 1,774 points with 552 rebounds in 116 games. His 745 career field goals rank second on the school’s career list, he ranks sixth on the all-time scoring list, and he is 11th with 15.3 points per game. He also ranks sixth with an 83.8 percent career free throw percentage. His 257 field goals as a senior still hold the school single-season record, and 247 field goals as a junior still rank fifth after setting the record at the time. As a junior, he scored 21.4 points per game to earn All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-America honors. His 21.4 points per game that year were second in school history at the time and still rank fifth.
