Melanie Stephenson Riggins starred in basketball from 1979 to 1983. Her teams went a combined 79-25, including a 23-3 record and the VSAC West Championship as a senior. She played on two of CBU’s three 20-win teams. She scored 1,356 points, which ranked first on the scoring list when she graduated and still ranks fourth. She still leads CBU’s career free throw percentage list and ranks eighth in career assists.
